An Assessment of Menstrual and Genital Hygiene Behaviours among Adolescent Females at Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus

Objective: Inadequate menstrual and genital hygiene behaviours are common important problems for adolescent health. This study aims to determine the affecting factors among female students enrolled in high schools located Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus.
 Methods: school-based, cross-sectional, descriptive was conducted three Gazimağusa town borders Cyprus with 379 students. Data were collected through Socio-demographic Form Genital Hygiene Behaviours Scale.
 Results: The scale mean score found 79,28±6,80 (min:47 / max: 112). be type of (X2: 14,771 P: 0,001), education level mothers 9,806 0,020), fathers 15,879 P:0,001).
 Conclusions: participants this had an above-average right behaviours. affected by school, mothers, fathers.
